We never sell your personal information. We share it only where we need to:

  • Installation and network partners who help us connect, maintain and repair your service.

5. Transfers outside Jersey and Guernsey

Some of our service providers may store or process information outside Jersey and Guernsey, for example in the UK or the European Economic Area. Where information goes to a country that isn’t recognised as giving it adequate protection, we put appropriate safeguards in place, such as approved contract terms.

6. Cookies

Cookies are small files a website saves on your device. We use:

  • Essential cookies that make the site work, for example to remember whether you’re viewing the Jersey or Guernsey version of the site and which language you’ve chosen, and to protect our forms from spam (Cloudflare Turnstile).
  • Analytics cookies from Google Analytics, to count visits and understand how people use our site so we can improve it. These don’t tell us who you are.
  • Advertising cookies from Google Ads, to measure how well our adverts work.
  • Chat and map cookies set by Olark (our live chat), Facebook (our Messenger chat button) and Google Maps when those features load.

You can delete cookies or block them in your browser settings at any time. If you block essential cookies, some parts of the site may not work properly.

7. How long we keep your information

We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy. For customers, that’s normally for as long as you have a service with us and for a period afterwards, so we can deal with any queries and keep the records the law requires (for example, financial and tax records).

When we no longer need your information, we delete or anonymise it. If that isn’t immediately possible (for example, because it’s held in a backup), we store it securely and don’t use it until it can be deleted.

8. How we keep your information safe

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Only people who need your information to do their job can access it. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, but we work hard to protect the information we hold.

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it.
  • Correct information that’s wrong or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your information.
  • Ask us to restrict how we use your information.
  • Object to us using your information, including for direct marketing.
  • Ask us to transfer your information to you or another organisation in a commonly used format.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it.

To use any of these rights, contact us at mail@homenet.je. It’s free, and we’ll normally reply within one month. We may need to confirm your identity first. Some rights have legal limits; for example, we may need to keep some information to comply with the law or to resolve a dispute, and we’ll tell you if that’s the case.

10. Making a complaint

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please contact us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the data protection regulator:
